About Endeva Health

My Clinical Background

I bring more than a decade of healthcare experience spanning critical care, cardiology, perioperative care, family medicine training, sleep medicine, occupational medicine, and obesity medicine. Today, I combine that experience with functional medicine principles to provide thoughtful, individualized care.

It Started with a Question

I have experienced healthcare from both sides of the exam room.

As a patient, I remember hoping each appointment would finally provide answers or at least a next step toward feeling better. Instead, I often heard the same response:

"Your labs look great. Everything is normal. We'll see you in a year."

It was frustrating. If everything was normal, why couldn’t I stay awake throughout the day? Why was I living in a constant fog?

As a practitioner, I listened to patients share their stories: their symptoms, their frustrations, and the impact those symptoms were having on their daily lives. Yet too often, when labs came back within normal limits and constraints such as time, insurance coverage, or practice policies limited how deeply we could investigate, I found myself saying the very words that had once left me so frustrated as a patient, even when I knew there was more to explore.

What Years of Caring Taught Me

During my years working in the ICU and perioperative settings, I witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of chronic disease—from heart attacks and limb amputations to severe infections and other preventable complications. Those years reinforced something I couldn't ignore: many of the conditions bringing patients into the hospital had been developing quietly for years, highlighting the importance of prevention.

As I transitioned into primary care, sleep medicine, and obesity medicine, I expected to have more opportunities to help patients prevent those outcomes. Instead, I found many people living with fatigue, weight struggles, poor sleep, and persistent symptoms despite "normal" lab work and conventional treatment.

Learning to Ask Better Questions

Pursuing functional medicine wasn't an immediate decision. I was skeptical. I wondered whether it would truly lead to different outcomes—or simply become another healthcare model built around expensive testing and supplements.

What ultimately changed my perspective wasn't a philosophy: it was what I saw in practice.

Functional medicine gave me a framework to ask better questions, recognize patterns that might otherwise be overlooked, and create individualized plans focused on restoring function instead of simply managing symptoms.

It confirmed what years of caring for patients had already taught me: the body is interconnected, resilient, and capable of healing when given the right support. Most importantly, it reminded me that meaningful improvement is possible—even for people who have spent years feeling dismissed or stuck.

The Care I Provide Today

My goal is to understand your story, identify the factors influencing your health, and develop a personalized, evidence-based plan that helps you feel like yourself again.

Rather than chasing perfect lab numbers, my focus is on restoring function through thoughtful investigation, practical interventions, and sustainable lifestyle change.

I believe healing happens when we address the foundations of health— stress, sleep, nutrition, movement, gut health, hormone balance, metabolic health, and environmental factors—and recognize that each person is unique.

Health is about far more than lab values.

It's about having the energy to be present with your family, the clarity to pursue your goals, and the resilience to fully engage in the life you want to live. No matter how long you've been struggling, I believe meaningful change is possible when we take the time to understand what your body is trying to tell us.

You know your body better than anyone else. If you've been told everything is "normal," yet you still don't feel like yourself, I believe that's worth exploring. I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

Together, we'll ask better questions, look deeper, and create a plan to help you build health that endures.
